Support NC Robotics as a Sponsor!
The New Castle Area School District Robotics   Team, established in the fall of 2016, is a group   of approximately fifty dedicated high school   students working together to design and build a   variety of robots for VEX Robotics Competitions.   We compete in several competitions throughout   the year and are also involved in various   community activities.  As members of the   Robotics Team, students are able to extend their   knowledge of engineering principles, mechanics,   electronics, programming, computer assisted   drawing, and above all, teamwork.
Out of our twelve robotics teams, six teams of students were able to compete at the Sarah Heinz VEX Robotics Starstruck Competition, 2nd Annual North Allegheny VEX Robotics Starstruck Competition, and the Western Pennsylvania State VEX Robotics Starstruck Competition.  This year New Castle Robotics students are excited to apply knowledge they learned last year to launch their efforts further during VEX Robotics "In The Zone" Competitions! The VEX Robotics Competition is a global program with over 16,000 teams from 40 countries involved.
Support of our team offers many benefits to the community. Local students will have the chance to learn and develop many new skills. They will be learning not only engineering and design skills, but will also be developing leadership, business, public speaking, coaching, and communication skills. We are looking to provide these students the necessary skills to become the next leaders in our community and beyond.
If you are interested in being a sponsor, please click HERE to complete our Sponsorship Form and mail it to the address listed at the bottom of the Form.  All sponsors will have their name included on our robotics competition t-shirts.  (*PLEASE NOTE:  To be included on our 2017-18 t-shirts, sponsorships must be received by mid-November to provide ample time for screenprinting before our competition season begins.  Any sponsorships received after mid-November will be included on our 2018-19 t-shirts.)

Team 16101E Receives Finalist Award at Western PA State VEX Robotics Competition

On Saturday, March 4th, New Castle High School Robotics Teams competed against twenty-four other teams from across Pennsylvania at the Western PA State VEX Robotics Championship at the Sarah Heinz House in Pittsburgh, PA. This year’s VEX robotics competitions involved robots competing in a 12-foot-by-12-foot field with a fence dividing teams. The object is for the student-built and programmed robots to throw “stars” and “cubes” over a fence and into their opponent's zone to earn points. Teams can also earn points by attaching their robot to a bar in the corner of the field and picking itself up, which is called “hanging.” More +
