Have you ever wanted to ignite discussion in your classroom and really get your students engaged?

FLIPGRID is a video discussion community where you can post topics and your students respond with short (90 second) videos! It works on all modern browsers and devices, including Chromebooks, and is available as a free iPad, iPhone, and Android app.  FLIPGRID cards can even be embedded into various platforms including Google Classroom, Google Sites, and more!  
 
Poster/Project Alternatives
With everyone having a little touch of spring fever and anxiously looking forward to the end of testing season, we need to be more creative than ever and offer our students a variety of interesting and engaging learning activities to help everyone stay the course and make it to June 8th! After all, "Variety is the spice of life." Wouldn't you agree?

Instead of assigning yet another poster project, why not try one of the alternatives listed in the link below that will not only add a little bit of variety to your lesson plans and enhance your tech toolkit, but will also promote digital literacy skills in your students so that we can help to prepare them to live in a world that interacts digitally.

Adding a Watermark to a Google Doc

If you guessed WATERMARKING, you're correct! Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines WATERMARK as, "A faint design made in some paper during manufacture, which is visible when held against the light and typically identifies the maker." Many of us have experimented with this creative technique at one time or another to personalize or add some visual appeal to our Microsoft Word documents...but did you know that it can be done with Google Docs, too?
