Pandemic Influenza Contingency Plan |

Recent news reports have contained speculation and projections about the spread of avian influenza (H5N1 strain). This virus has been found in humans in Asia, Africa, and Europe, but it’s spread “from person to person has been limited and has not continued beyond one person,” according to the U.S. Government’s Department of House and Human Services www.pandemicflu.com website. However, The New Castle Area School District wishes to be prepared in the event of a pandemic.
