On Monday, April 25, 2016, the New Castle Area School District held its first STEAM Fair & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the New Castle Jr.-Sr. High School. Highlights of this special event included displays of student projects in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) curricula from both George Washington Intermediate and the Jr.-Sr. High School. Students, teachers, administrators, parents and community members filled the hallways and cafeteria to view the impressive displays and learn how STEAM education is transforming teaching and learning at NCASD. Guests also had the opportunity to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony of our newly designed Motivation Station in the basement of the Jr.-Sr. High School and visit its reconstructed learning spaces including the robotics classroom, engineering lab, tech and gaming room, and Fab Lab.
