The Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004 requires all states to develop a State Performance Plan (SPP) in order to describe how the states will meet the requirements of the IDEA and provide services to students with disabilities (20 U.S.C. 1416). One of those requirements includes Indicator 8: School Facilitated Parent Involvement. Pennsylvania collects this data through the Parent Survey that was developed by the National Center for Special Education Accountability Monitoring through the Office of Special Education Programs.
