Not one, but three New Castle Jr-Sr. High Schools competitive robotics teams qualified for the 2019 Vex Robotics Worlds Competition to be held in Louisville, KY at the end of April 24-28th. On Saturday, March 9th 45 teams from across Western PA met up at the state championships held at Keystone Oaks High School. Six New Castle competitive robotics teams showed up with passion and determination to win. All six teams scored high enough to make it through qualification rounds and in to the final elimination matches. Two of these teams 16101G and 1610Z went undefeated during these qualification rounds.

There is a "Hurricane Warning" for the Pittsburgh area this Saturday, when six New Castle High School competitive robotics teams will compete alongside more than 200 high school students from around Pennsylvania in the 2018-19 Western PA VEX Robotics State Champtionship at Keystone Oaks High School.

Congratulations to Coach Matt Dado and Team 16101Z for clinching a bid to the VEX World's Robotics Tournament in Kentucky  this April after receiving the "Excellence Award" for the top overall team at the Western PA VEX Robotics State Championship at Keystone Oaks High School on March 10th.  To learn more about the recent successes of our NC Robotic teams, please click .  HERE

On Friday, December 15, 2017, New Castle High School Robotics Team 16101E, Team 16101G, and Team 16101N tied for third out of forty-three other teams from across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland at the Sarah Heinz House VEX Robotics Competition.  Members of Team 16101E include Ricky Zheng, Matthew Ball, Ryan Hunyadi, and Michael Maas. Team 16101G is comprised of Tandem Moore, Jacob Billyk, Andrew Elmore, and Liam Frost, while Team 16101N consists of members Logan Mooers, Philip Hoxworth, Julian Klingensmith, Brayden Rogers, Austin Hiler, and Sean Ayers.
Additionally, these three teams qualified for the Western Pennsylvania State Championship, which will take place on March 10, 2018, at Keystone Oaks High School starting at 9:00 AM.

Five New Castle High School Robotics Teams competed against other teams from across Pennsylvania and West Virginia at the 1st Annual Franklin High School VEX Robotics Competition on Friday, January 26th, 2018.  Team 16101Z was awarded the prestigious “Robot Skills Winner” Award, which celebrates the Top Combined Programming & Driving Skills Challenge Team (Robot Performance).  Members of Team 16101Z are Isiah Ruffley, Alexis Burkett, Arielle Rechione, and Allan Lewis.

On Friday, December 16, ALPHA (16101A: New Castle Red) Robotics Team competed at the Sarah Heinz House VEX Robotics Qualifier against 41 other teams and tied for 3rd at the Pittsburgh Regional event. As a result, Team Alpha has qualified for the VEX Robotics Pennsylvania High School State Championship tournament in March 2017. [...click for more]
